Anand Subramanian is a senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officer and the current chairman of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). He took charge as SEBI chairman on 18 February 2014. He is the first police officer to head SEBI.
Anand Subramanian was born on 1 December 1959 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He is a graduate of the Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University.
