Jayalalitha’s son Sudhakaran married his long-time girlfriend Vaishnavi in a private ceremony in Chennai on Monday. The couple had been in a relationship for over 10 years.
The wedding was attended by only close family members and friends. Sudhakaran’s sister Jayalakshmi and brother Jeyamohan were among the few relatives who attended the wedding.
Vaishnavi is the daughter of industrialist AVS Raju and hails from Hyderabad.
Sudhakaran had proposed to Vaishnavi a few months ago and the couple had been planning their big day since then.
Jayalalitha had earlier said that she would not interfere in her son’s personal life.
Sudhakaran and Vaishnavi are expected to leave for the US for their honeymoon soon.
